Our proven nursery Pedagogy
Our in-house curriculum harmoniously merges EYFS and Montessori approaches. It fosters independence, creativity, and a genuine love for learning. Raphael Nursery FAQs
Questions on the day-to-day practical details
Can we leave our buggy at the nursery during the day?
Yes, we have buggy sheds where you can safely leave the pushchairs while your child is at the nursery.
Can we drop off or pick up our children at any time?
Although we recommend for your children to be here by 9am until ideally 4-5pm to benefit as much as possible from all the activities, we remain a nursery and there are no strict times by which your children must be at the nursery.
What are the staff to children ratios?
1:3 for under two’s, 1:5 for two-three and 1:8 above, these are the required Ofsted staff ratios.
What are the sleep/nap routines?
As described in our Parents section they all have a nap between noon and 2/2.30pm. For the younger babies however we adapt to their routine and we will implement the same nap times as they have at home, similar for the feed time.
Nappy changes:
Children are changed according to the individual needs of our children.
Daily parents communication:
Parents receive all important information on nappy change, food, main activities and nap times daily on our parents app in the evening at 6pm.
Questions on extra-curricular activities and outings
How often do the children go out?
They go to the garden twice a day.
Do they go on outings outside the nursery?
Yes, our above two’s groups go to the park or local community weekly.
Do they have visits organised?
Throughout the year we organise for the older children some visits for e.g. the fire station, police station or the farm.
Do they have activities from external parties?
Yes we have dance, football or yoga weekly classes organised (depending on the nursery).
Common financial questions
Do we continue paying while our children are away on holidays or sick?
Yes, the fees are paid monthly based on 51 weeks a year and they continue to be paid when the child is sick or on holidays. We do however offer some discounts if the child is away for longer than 4 open weeks of nursery or more. Details can be obtained from the nursery.
When do we get our deposit back?
The deposit is paid back in the final month of the child at the nursery
Are there any sibling or twin discounts?
Yes, we offer both. Please find all exact information on our Brochure.
Do you accept childcare vouchers or programs like Enjoy Benefit?
Yes we take any childcare vouchers and we work with a few programs like Enjoy Benefit. Please contact the nursery manager and they will be able to help out if you have any questions.
Do you accept the government working parents funding or other fundings?
Yes we do.
Questions regarding food
Are the meals prepared onsite and with fresh food?
Yes, we have incredible chefs who prepare nutritious meals onsite with fresh food and adapting to all dietary requirements.
Do you accept specific dietary requirements?
Yes, we accept any religious or medical dietary requirements.
Do you adapt for weaning?
Yes we work with our parents and make sure the children are only eating what has been introduced at home already. Our chefs prepare delicious home made purees for our babies.
